Just For Fun
I found the most delightful book written in 1882 called When I Was a Little Girl. From time to time I’ll put in parts of it on the Just For Fun page. When I Was a Little Girl By Mrs. F. A. Humphrey Chapter One About Buttercup When I was a little girl I lived in Pinelands. Pinelands is in Massachusetts. My father owned a flock of sheep. There were seventy-five sheep in the flock. He had a sheep barn. It was not so large as the barn where the cows and oxen were kept. But I liked the sheep barn the best. I could climb up on the hay. Sometimes I found a hen’s nest full of eggs in the hay. Sometimes I threw the hay down into the racks for the sheep to eat. The sheep were kept in this barn in the winter. In the spring they were away to the pastures. How pretty the little white lambs looked as try played on the green grass! Sometimes there was a black lamb. Did you ever have a lamb of your own? I had one once. She was a beauty. I loved her dearly. Her name was Buttercup.

Every Now and Then We’ll Have Some AMAZING! Information From Herrick’s Almanac Of 1873 We’ve come a long way! Herrick’s Sugar Coated Pills
"These pills are the most comprehensive remedy of the age for diseases originating from CORRUPTED BLOOD. Intermittent, remittent, and other malarious fevers, dyspepsia, congestion of the liver, depression of spirits (and many more) maladies can be cured by these wondrous pills because they strike to the very root of disease. When the current of the blood is sluggish, or vitiated, the pills cleanse it of impurities including scrofula and consumption."
